Maestra Pilar Leyva, a New York raised child prodigy, studied with the legendary Claudio Arrau. Maestro Leonardo is a Moscow Conservatory trained accompanist and coach and long time associate of  Pilar Leyva and Jorge Zorro.

Dr. Juan David Piñeros and Dr. Luis Gabriel Piñeros, members of the family that founded the Fundación Universitaria Juan N. Corpas and related enterprises. This wonderful Restaurante Casa San Isidro, atop Monserrate, is 1,000 feet above the city. Accessible by Swiss style suspended cable cars, the night view is breathtaking. At the summit lies the Santuario del Monserrate, a Catholic shrine.

We pause along the path to the shrine. Along the sides are bronze statues depicting the "Stations of the Cross".






On Good Friday, hundreds of Colombians make a pilgrimage to the top of Monserrate on their knees.  Colombia is a very religious country with a church as the centerpiece of every public square.
